Nordic Style London Ltd

  1. Nordic Style London Ltd is registered in the UK under company number 13152046 and our registered office is 69 Lambeth Walk, London, SE11 6DX. We have Two Retail Shops of Our Own who sell directly to the General Public. These Terms and Conditions apply to direct purchases by the General Public.  Our Retail Shops are located in Esher and Guildford.
  2. We also sell online to customers who have never visited our shops and this web site www.nordicstylelondon.com is where those customers Browse and Purchase Goods from us.
  3. We obey the Distance Trading Regulation on goods that have been purchased on this web site and not first been viewed in one of our two shops ie the items have not been seen in person before purchase.
  4. Goods that have been viewed in our shops before purchase cannot be returned due to Unsuitability.
  5. Goods that have not been viewed in our shops may be returned once delivered due to Unsuitability, as long as the Outward and Return Delivery Charges are paid.
  6. Goods displayed and sold in our shops may be cheaper in store than online, as we have to factor in the costs of goods being returned as it is an expensive process when goods are sent back after purchase as they inevitably arrive back damaged or marked.  No one wants to then buy stock that has been in someone else’s house and returned.
  7. Nordic Style London is a small family business, who manufacture many of our own products that can not be found anywhere else.  We are not trying to compete with online stores, Amazon or big Multiple Retailers.  However, we make a beautiful product carefully designed, selected and curated with Love and Care, offer a personal service and sell items which you generally can’t buy from anyone else. We pride ourselves on offering great value for the quality delivered and if we do sell a few items to help dress our shops that are the same as others who sell them – we won’t be beaten on price.

Orders & Payments:

  1. Goods are to be paid for in full at the time of order.
  2. Title to goods shall only pass when Nordic Style London has received cleared funds in full.
  3. All prices on this website are Retail Prices.
  4. Orders cancelled after a delivery date has been confirmed will be subject to a 50% cancellation charge.
  5. Your order will not be confirmed until a member of the Nordic Style team contacts you to confirm the order and check all details with you.
  6. Our paint finishes and fabrics may vary in colour from batch to batch, but we do endeavour to maintain consistency. Handles, hinges and other furniture accessories may be swapped for alternatives if the ones used in the photograph are no longer available from the trade.
  7. We do accept American Express but charge a 2% processing fee to allow for the extra charges they charge us.

Delivery & Collection:

  1. Delivery charges can be found on the delivery section of our website Delivery Information – Nordic Style London.  We generally only deliver with one man, so if you require items to be installed in a property you will need to provide a capable, fit and competent second man to help our driver.  We can send a second man but have to charge the True Cost for this service.
  2. We can arrange deliveries to Non Mainland UK, Eire and other overseas countries, please contact us for a quote.
  3. We aim to deliver stock items within 15 working days of receiving payment in full.
  4. If we are heavily discounting stock to clear it quickly, we ask that you take delivery of your order promptly as we are unable to hold items because they have been reduced to clear and 15 working days is the maximum time we will hold stock for once purchased If it has been reduced to Clear.
  5. If you prefer not to pay us to arrange delivery of goods purchased, you can arrange for the collection of the goods from our warehouse in Esher, please call us and ask for details or discuss with us in our shops.  Please note if you use third party couriers they and you are responsible for the safe transit of goods from when they are collected and signed for from us.  Our own delivery service is fully insured for damage to the threshold of your property.
  6. Most of our furniture is fully assembled cabinet built so it’s vital that access points are measured in advance of placing your order and delivery. We will do all we can to assist and will explore every possibility to get the furniture to the final position that you desire. However, if our Driver thinks it is not possible then we will leave the item in a safe and convenient alternative location.
  7. Damages and shortages are to be reported at the time of delivery before the driver leaves.
  8. If you elect to collect goods from our warehouse we will contact you to confirm your item/s are ready for collection by appointment. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours and do not just turn up as items are not always stored in the same location and we may need some time to get your order ready. Our collection address is Field Common Farm, Unit 4 Big Barn, Left Hand Shutter, Field Common Lane, Esher, KT12 3QJ. This is an unmanned collection address and not where the goods are stored, so please don’t turn up without an appointment.
  9. All goods collected from our warehouse must be unwrapped and properly checked at the time of collection and accepted before they are removed from our property.  No returns, damages, or shortages will be accepted once the goods have been taken away by you or your carrier, so the work has to be done at the time of collection to make sure you are happy with the goods being collected. We also won’t accept goods back due to unsuitability under the distance trading regulation, because you or you representative would have seen them in person on checking the condition so the Distance Trading Regulation does not apply.
  10. We are often very short on storage space and so any orders for collection must be collected within 7 days. Any items not collected within this time frame will be delivered to you at our standard delivery rates shown on our website.
  11. We incur costs when picking your order and moving items to one location ready for you to collect, therefore any cancelled orders are subject to a £160 restocking fee.

Returns:

  1. We obey the UK Law regarding Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds.  The Consumer Rights Act (which replaced the Sale of Goods Act in October 2015) sets out the Law. Returns will only be discussed if you are able to produce a proof of purchase i.e. the original receipt.  Without a receipt we cannot do anything to help you.  We can only discuss a transaction with the person that made the purchase and not a third party.
  2. Goods can be returned due to unsuitability under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if purchased on this web site and you have not first viewed them in one of our Two Shops.  However, if you are really not sure please don’t take the risk to order – if you think the item may come back to us because you do not like it please come to our shops to view the item in person.  We are a small family business who has launched this mail order website to offer our lovely products a wider geographic area from our Surrey Shops due to demand and requests from Potential Customers who have found us on Social Media or be recommended by word of mouth.  Dealing with vast amounts of returns and refunds will cause us and the business to fail like so many online businesses have over the years – so if you are in any doubt please don’t order.  We can facetime with you from our shops and send detail images and movies of the products we make and you can read reviews about how good our products are to help you decide.
  3. Made to order and custom items are non-returnable as they have been made specifically for you.
  4. If you wish to return an item that was delivered within the last 14 days, then please reach out to us at [email protected] letting us know the reason for your return and that you will be sending the item back. You will need to get the unused item safely back to our Warehouse in its intact original packaging. Once the item has arrived and been checked over for any damage a refund will be issued less the outward delivery charge within 14 days. You will be responsible for any return postage costs and we are unable to refund your original delivery charge.
  5. If you choose to collect your order you or your representative will be asked to check and sign for your items on collection, we will then no longer be able to accept these items back due to unsuitability.
  6. Goods purchased and viewed in our shops and taken away can not be returned for a refund.  Items that have been heavily reduced can not be returned at all and this includes items discounted by more than 20% off our RRP.  Goods purchased in our shops for full price or less than 20% discount can be returned for an exchange or if you can not find something you like a credit note can be issued which will be valid for 2 months from issue.
